Hi!

I was surfing crocheting blogs and stumbled on yours! What amazing pieces! I have always wanted to learn and you supplied me with further inspiration.

Growing up my grandmother did buy me a fair amount of clothes that I didn't care for didn't fit, but I think the gift I would consider the worse most likely is from this year. A bunch of the family got together and did the random present thing - each person brings one thing and items can be 'taken' from you.

Everyone did pretty well with their gifts - but somehow I ended up with this really ugly looking ceramic fish. It is rather large, and just wow. I think they meant it as a gag gift, atleast that is what I keep telling myself.

P.S. If my family happens to be reading this, thank you for a lovely holiday. But you know that isn't the most attract fish, right?

A couple of years ago my MIL gave me a desk planner. I sat down on January 1st to start adding birthdays, anniversaries and appointments to the calendar pages when I realized the days were off. I looked at the cover...the planner was from the previous year. I think it was a re-gift and she didnt realize the planner was dated. Needless to say, it was useless.
Thanks for the giveaway...you do beautiful handi-work!

I think the worst is this horrible pleather purse I was given by my aunt in high school. It was huge and not my style at all. It had all sorts of beading on it. I think it must have been a re-gift.

By the way I love your stuff it's super creative!

Last year my husband bought me a series of books based on herbalism and I read continue to read them all the time. As silly as it sounds they are the best present anyone's ever gotten for me because it's the first time anyone had actually listed to the type of presents I wanted!

Hmmm... the worst things I received. When I was 12 my grandmother bought me a cabbage patch back pack for school (ummm...except it was made for 5-6 year olds). I knew enough to act excited for her sake, but quickly found a smaller little girl who gladly wanted it!!

Thanks. I LOVE the white and turquoise swirl scarf and that is what I would pick if I won!

I said I liked frogs once, so I'm always getting ugly little frog trinkets.

I hate knickknacks with a passion, and I don't have any stuff like that lying around, so everytime I get one, I just wonder what I'll do with it.

My grandparents once gave me snowboots. Three sizes too small.

And I live in Central Texas. Which, for those who may not know about American weather, considers an occasional snowflake a weather emergency, yea, unprecedented in the annals of disaster,so it's good that only happens once a DECADE.

I am still utterly baffled by where they even FOUND snow boots. But they were so excited for me to open the box! I gotta admit, it's a present that still makes me grin when I remember it...

My boyfriend bought me tires. Yes, tires. I'm thankful he wants me to be safe, but I'm pretty sure the 4 Cs do not apply to tires! lol

My ex (not the tire guy) gave me an outfit that was literally 3 times my size. The pants were off white denim and the top was off white with horizontal black stripes. It was hideous. The worst part... I actually tried to wear it! He went to all the effort and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. It wound up in a yard sale after we broke up. Did I mention it was hideous? I prolly should have just put it out it's misery. *sigh*

I am the queen of regifting (but I think I am smart about it). My family does not really exchange gifts anymore, but we did a White elephant exchange (I got a set of pocket knives that I will be giving to the boys next year). My father made the mistake once of trying to buy me clothes. He got me the ugliest shirt I have ever seen and it lived in the bottom of my drawer for years.

I like the
Crocheted black fully fingered gloves WITH FINGERS and blue, green and purple trim woman size SMALL

Happy New Year!

My story, I wanted black boots several years ago. So my husband got me a pair. They were black and my size. But the style was sooooo not me. They weren't bad, just not me. He thought they would look great on me, but I told him, I would never wear them. Needless to say, we went and returned them...the pair I did get I still own and love and they ended up on CLEARANCE! So I got them half off. Aghhh, I love those boots. :)

I have saved it and am hoping after the preggo belly and some exercise, ok alot of exercise! it will fit! lol

Ok another thought- My dad bought me a bottle of Jager alcohol for christmas. OK first off I am 32 weeks Pregnant and going to breastfeed what the heck am I supposed to do with that?? Not including that is the grossest stuff out there, and I barely drink when I wasn't preggo! Thanks Dad!! lol
