Randomness Saturday: Personal post

It's been a while since I've done a personal post from my "Randomness Saturday" series and I thought to bring it back, what do you all think?
Let's see what I can come up with this time....

♥ Gabriel started a new school 2 months ago: even tho I loath the whole situation around his school placement, I'm happy to report that his doing quite well, better that we ever expected. The teacher is very good and he's working very hard....spring forward to June to see if we can win the battle with the school district and have him in the school I want!

♥ Michelle is doing quite well too: her last meeting with the school teacher went very well and she's almost ready to start first grade (yes, she's in the school I want!). She's going to have a recital as a flower and we worked on her dress today: I will make sure to post pictures.

♥ I was a busy lady since Holiday season: literally didn't stop crocheting one day! Thank you all for the support and the patience while I got around your orders.

♥ I no longer have a part time job outside the house: my client passed away before Valentine's day and the agency hasn't been able to find me another person to watch in my available hours. So, here I'm, a stay-at-home-crafter-mom again and I don't mind it!

♥ I'm trying to get my products into local boutique for wholesale or consignment. Easier said that done, but I'm trying. Was already able to have a table to a local event the past weekend where I sold a cupcake pillow.

♥ I found a very awesome site to improve my picture quality: fotofuze. Seriously, you gotta try it! I'm slowly fixing all my pictures.....see a difference already?

♥ Don't forget to show my friend Kim some love and enter her giveaway!

Randomness Saturdays

Another Saturday, other random fact about me!

♥ I had kinda of a weird day, not bad, just weird. Woke up late, got Gabriel to the soccer game just in time but once we got there we realize I forgot his shin guards at home. The coach doesn't allow the kids to play without them because they could get badly hurt. So got home to get them and then rushed back as quick as I could, but Gabriel made it to play just 5 minutes before the game was over :(
He wasn't upset tho, I just felt guilty! Got some pizza on the way back home and after lunch just felt so tired and went for a nap....a long one! Woke up at 5 pm. EEEEK!

♥ Did I ever told you a have weird dreams sometimes?? I know sounds crazy but every once in a while I get dreams about my friends and loved ones. The dreams are usually upsetting and scary and sure enough when I get in touch with the person I dreamed on, something odd is going on in their life....this afternoon I had those kind of dreams about my old sweetheart from college. I think he's in trouble, but really can't do much from 10000 miles away. Hoping I'm wrong this time.

♥ Gabriel came home from school with another suspicious boo-boo last Thursday....please keep praying that we'll be able to pay for the private school sooner rather than later, because this cannot work for long :(

♥ Some more awesome Artfire collections are up! I think this was fitting for this month

And thank to Anne from madeformebyoaklie, here you go: Colors of the Sea!

♥ A movie that I'm enjoy lately is "The corpse Bride" of Tim Button. I love how the story is around different kind of love for different "kind" of people and the animation is superb of course!

Randomness Saturdays

Can't believe is Saturday again.....where the whole week has been? LOL

♥ Just found out yesterday that Gabriel school finally hired a teacher that will start on Monday. I'm hopeful that she will do a good job with my son, but somehow believe that it's too little and too late. We'll see.

♥ Gabriel felt better today, so we brought him for his soccer game. This is him greeting me. He's doing a much better job staying in the game and I'm sooooo proud of him. One of the other mom out there cheering asked me if Gabriel even stop smiling: I answered "I hope he will never do that!"

♥ Michelle is getting over her cold also and will be going to the pumpkin patch in a couple of weeks. So excited, would be her first with the school.

♥ Watched 2 animation movies this week that I really liked: One is "Igor" and I loved it because talks about how it's possible that a "nobody" change things and save the day. And the other one is "Space Chimps", was also great because talks about true friendship and I loved one little character in there that has an impossible name but she's funny because her head lights up and she sing when she's scared. Way too cute.

♥ Tomorrow is exactly a month since my mom and sister went back in Italy. Feels like a whole year to me and I've been thinking to them a lot. And when I miss my mom, this song always come to my mind, I hope you'll enjoy too.

Randomness Saturdays

Sorry if I didn't post this yesterday, but there was an awful glitch in my etsy shop that really got me in a panic attack.
Now, back to normal with some random things from this week.

♥ Personal: Both of my kids are sick with a strong cold: nothing to worry about, but they will stay off school for a couple of days.

♥ Michelle enjoyed her first week in school a LOT and her potty training is going awesome!!

♥ Heard from a store that is interested in carrying my products: the order is a little bit smaller of what I was hoping for, but it's a start!

♥ This song was stuck in my head all week: thought some of you might like it! the lyric is in the video.

♥ The movie that I recommend this week is "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler. It really amazed me how much creativity and fantasy kids may have, how life can get an unexpected turn and how much waiting for your dreams to come true really pays off :)

♥ My newsletter is coming up: have you signed up yet?

Randomness Saturdays

Ok, just like the past Saturday, I really don't have a topic for a whole post, so I will just go ahead and post bits and bolts LOL

♥ Like always starting personal: I'm really excited because my youngest daughter, Michelle, will start school next Monday. Yup, she got in a pre-school program that will help her in the language and social area to get ready for kindergarten. She's really excited about it and she's running around the house with a back pack on her shoulders and big girl panties (she's not fully potty trained yet!) waiting for the school bus to come and pick her up!

♥ This also means that while I will have a crazy breakfast time, trying to get both of my kids ready for school, with lunches ready and waiting for 2 buses to come and pick them up, once they're gone I will have the house and me for myself....well at least for 2-3 hours. And while I think I will enjoy a little bit of freedom and will use that time wisely to take care on my business, I can't help thinking that I will also feel really lonely...will see!

♥ We also got really sloppy on Gabriel's diet for the last month and it shows: he got in trouble in school for acting in rage and he also lost all the 5 pounds that he gained in 3 months of diet. Major fail! We got back on track immediately and the gluten effect is slowly wearing off. Also, the doctor seems to think that Michelle could be intolerant to gluten too, so we definitely need to stock up on those gluten-free food. Gluten, can you please get out my life already?????

♥ Talking of business: I want to expand and try to wholesale. I think will be fun, tho very stressful, but I definitely wanna try. I already developed a line sheet and can't wait for orders to come in to see how will I do!

♥ My Etsy shop, Crocheted Little Thing, is currently featured on the Handmade Highway blog. I'm very honored that Lori posted my interview there.

♥ On a totally different note: if you're looking for some movies to enjoy during this weekend I want to share a couple of movies that I saw myself and I think they're pretty cool (thanks NetFlix!). The first movie I saw it about a month ago, it's called "Up", it's actually an animation movie and really made me think about the things that we put off daily waiting to do them one day....don't wanna tell you too much. The next movie is for the next Saturday ;)

There! I told you they were bits and bolts!
