Merry Christmas to me Part 2

This time it's not something I got in the mail, but I bought it from a friend and neighbor for real cheap and I wanted one for so long: my very first treadmill

YEAH baby!!! I'm so thrilled I got it as days are getting really shorter and it's not always easy to fit my wort out during the day. Now, I can do it whenever I want, it doesn't matter if it's rains, it's 80F or below 20F, I will be able to get my daily miles done no matter what.

For now is sitting in the garage, which is fine with me. I sometimes sneak out there after putting the kids in bed and have at it!

How cool is that??? A drink holder so I can have all I need handy.

I'm pretty confident I will be able to manage my weight easily now. I've been using it almost every night since I got it and I must admit that I find a little bit more difficult running on a treadmill rather than the road, but I figure that if I keep at it, it will get easier once I get used to it. post signature

Merry Christmas to me Part 1

I have started to get some Christmas goodies in the mail from my dear friends, so I thought to start sharing them with you and make you drool!

The first package I got is from Lisa, the owner of Hillside Bakery
She knows me well as I can tell by the fact that she sent me a cupcake pincushion and it's BLUE!! My favorite color!!!

The peppermint bark was simply supreme!! She makes it herself and I've never tasted anything so good. I still have a little tiny piece left in the bag.....I know, I know! It's calling my name.

And of course the lovely snow man card!

I was very touched by how thoughtful she was and also how sneaky!!! One day I found this package on my door step and I started thinking how weird it was since I didn't order anything from her (this time!) and probably she made a mistake!! But nope!

She simply blessed me and I truly do feel blessed.....

For the victims in Connecticut....

I tried to make a post about this tragedy several times since I've heard the news, but every time I started crying and had to stop.

I work at an elementary school and I have both my kids at an elementary school.....I've been having nightmares and anxiety attacks since Friday. You know, since I'm Autistic and all....I can't even imagine what those families are going through.

And every single detail that we're getting from the media, is literally making me sick.

I've expressed my position of Autism linkage with violence before here (PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT), and I'm not going down that road again.

BUT.....this is not about me or the mental (un)health of the shooter, it's about the little 20 children and the 6 school personnel that died, it's about their families and relatives having to bury children and loved ones, it's about families and an entire community having somehow to cope this 10 days before Christmas, it's about broken trust in humanity and broken hearts of innocent people.

Pay your respect with me, if you please.
