Randomness Saturdays

This Saturday I'm good enough to post!

♥ Turns out that I had a bad reaction to the stitches used for my surgery. I took them off yesterday and luckily I will be ok in a couples of days. Can't wait to put all this behind me for good and start anew!

♥ Gabriel had his last baseball game and he proudly brought home a trophy. It just stroke to me our far he has come! Few months ago, when he was in the soccer team, it was really hard for him to understand what was going on and why. He's know A LOT more aware of the things that are happenings, he understands them, he LIVES them and enjoys them all and I enjoy watching him grown and getting better. I'm always more and more convinced that with love and work, he can turn autism around, call me a dreamer.

♥ Michelle went to a field trip with the school to the zoo.....she's still taking about the white tiger she saw and she's drawing tigers everywhere.....too funny!

♥ Since I was on pain killers during the past week, I don't have much to tell you. I kept forgetting things all week, sleeping several hours per day and be careful not to suffer too much when I ate stuff. Meh, not really interesting, sorry guys!

♥ I discovered some amazing movies tho. One is an evergreen in my opinion "Doorknobs and Broomsticks", they don't make movies good like that anymore! I watched it over and over with the kids and they loved the "witch". Never get tired to see this one. And yesterday night I had the pleasure to see "Avatar": I must say, it's simply amazing, I love the world with the blue people and I for one wish I could be one of them. They have skills and abilities that we've lost in our civilization process that I really wish we'd still have. The world will be a much better place in my opinion.

♥ I feel a little bit gloomy and "home" sick, I really wished my parents were around during this past week, I think it'd have been far more bearable, even tho hubby was fantastic, I really missed my mom and dad. And so this song tonight, sums up the feelings that I'm trying to push deep inside. I'm not able to get the code for the video, but it's "Home" of Micheal Buble'

Randomness Saturdays

Ready for this one too?? Let's get started!
♥ Gabriel's update: He played like a catcher today at the baseball game as you can see from the picture above. He was really uncomfortable in the gear and I heard him complaining with the coach a couple of times, but he did stay to his post trying to catch the ball even tho he couldn't see out of the heavy helmet. I'm really proud of him!!
He had a rough week and he still has a cough that I don't like not even a little bit. Tuesday there is a check up to the doc to see what's up!

♥ Michelle's update: She's literally driving me nuts coloring and drawing all over the walls in our house! She's back to school and she's enjoying herself! Also, thanks to you'll votes, she won the content for the Kid Of the Month of Everyday Moms: I had to write a little paragraph about her and if you wish you can read about here

♥ Business: My Etsy shop is still in its limbo, but business is picking up everywhere else, so it's just a matter of time I guess.

♥ Yesterday I got in the mail another prize that I won from Mommy reads too much, the sister site of Taking time for Mommy
I Won the book "The Moon looked down" of Dorothy Garlock and I started reading it right away. Mommy reads too much is a cool blog and I recommend to check it out often if you wish to win lots of wonderful books!

♥ Saw the movie Julie&Julia yesterday night and I love the message: put your head into it and no matter what life will trow at you, if you believe it it will happen! Hope this is an inspiration for many out there, I sure needed some.

♥ Time to leave you with a fave song: You'll be in my heart by Phil Collins. That's what I'm listening right this second and I hope you'll enjoy too!

Randomness Saturdays

Like *almost* every Saturday here it is!

♥ Update on Michele's mom health: She's at home now, still in pain, but on her way to recovery!! Healing vibes her way!!

♥ Update on Michelle's health: For the series, "It get worse before it starts getting any better" (right Kayla??), she got thrush all over her mouth back to her throat. Is going to clear up in a couple of days. I found some discharge on her pillow: hopefully whatever was inside her ear came out and she will probably not need any more medications or surgery. I will know more details on Wednesday.

♥ Update on Gabriel: He's doing great! He had another baseball game today and this time I took some picture (not great since Michelle was on my lap!)
I know I'm partial, but I think he's handsome like his daddy! You can see more pictures on my Facebook.

♥ My friend Allison started a blog: Mommy's Survival. She blogs about her story about being a mom, the circumstances about the birth of her second child (she's a young mom of 3) and reading her blog I found out she made a post about my cupcake with flower! I hope you all will enjoy reading about her.

♥ I won a yummy giveaway from The Gourmet Cupboard: mix for chocolate pie! Can't wait to cook it and to show it off (before it hits my belly! lol)

♥ And I leave you all with another song I love: No one by Alicia Keys

Randomness Saturdays

Almost sleeping on the key board but here I am :)

♥ Update on Michelle's Health: My baby had still discomfort and pain to both her ears. I brought her to the doc again that told me that even if the infection cleared up, could be that she still have "stuff" between her ears and her nose. Sooooooo, we're on antibiotics again for the next 2 weeks and if that doesn't take everything away we'll have to put tubes inside her ears.

♥ Update on Gabriel: We got his first baseball game today and he had a lots of fun! I failed to bring my camera and take pictures, but he's smiling and energy today was amazing and I enjoy every second of it!

♥ I feel really tired. I actually I felt this way all week and I'm not sure way. If I seat for more than 2 minutes, my eyes close by themselves.....what's going on??? Not sure, but whatever it is, I hope it will go away soon.

♥ Crocheted Little Things Newsletter is coming up in few days.
Have you subscribed yet? If not, you can do it here.

♥ Movies that I'm watching. My hubby introduced me to the Terminator series and the Transformers. Not crazy about either. The Terminator stories has major flows and the new Transformers movie is, in my opinion, a movie to entertain teenagers, definitely not me.

♥ Song that I'm gonna share tonight: Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. She's the sister of Jennifer Aniston, I discovered her recently and I LOVE her voice. This song in particular is sweet and fresh. Enjoy!

Sunday personal post

Seems like a very good period around here. I'm grateful, but it also scares me...I can be spoiled about so much happiness and serenity if all of sudden things start falling apart again. But Until it lasts, I'm gonna enjoy every little second of it.
So, let's start with some updates on my beloved son, Gabriel.
He scored good enough on his first report card that came in few days ago. Still some problem on his conduct, but I'm pretty confident that we can work on it and resolve them.
The doc accepted our choice to go meds-free and Gabriel improvements speak louder of any medication he has ever been on.
Yesterday, he had his last soccer game and he won a trophy (in the picture with my daughter and his coach). Since the soccer game is over, we're going to start him on baseball soon!

The old shop http://piccoladonna2006.etsy.com will continue to be open and will carries my bags and my jewelry and more traditional items. Thank you for all the support of my lovely costumers I reached my 100th sale, actually exceeding my goal to reach 100 sales before Christmas!! Thank you!
