Oh my, it's been a while since I did my last Randomness Saturday, uh? Did you miss it? I know I missed you'll incredibly! But here some updates.

♥ First Month of school: Gabriel is not doing so good :( His formerly teacher retired after few weeks of the beginning of the school and he still is with an assistant and in my opinion not getting the services he needs. He got bitten by fire ants of Tuesday, got home with a boo boo under his eye on Wednesday and got fever on Friday...what the h....?? Already complained with the school principal.
Michelle instead is doing pretty good and enjoying it too!

♥ I thought was a smart idea to go back to school. Only trouble is....I don't have the money, so I'm applying for every financial aid/scholarship I can find and just that it's like a full time job, oh my! I hope I get in! We'll see.

♥ Yesterday my hubby went to lunch out with some of his colleagues and he said that the waitress was hitting on him. When he made an effort to show her his left hand with the wedding band on, he saw the face of the girl turning so pale of embarrassment. I thought was funny!

♥ Movies I watched lately.....hmmm I watched "Peter Pan" with the kids yesterday night 'cause I think it's an evergreen that every kid should watch. And my hubby is trying to convert me in the "Star Wars" saga, but I must say, it's really not my thing. oh well!

Lots of news this week!!!!

♥ Well, first a little sour: Yesterday night my computer failed. I spent all night rebooting and uploading all the programs that I "need" to use but I was so mad at myself for all the pics and business information lost.

BUT, this morning hubby brought me to the store and got me an external hard drive, so I won't have this problem again and while toying with the PC installing the new hard drive, he was able to recover all my data! EVERYTHING! Even my bookmarks!!!! Love the guy!

♥ After the store, we went to sign up Gabriel for soccer again. He will start September 11 (yeah, unfortunate coincidence!)

♥ I just heard from my parents and they got their passports and the possibility to fly over here the 15th.......it's 4 days away!!! I'm so happy if this really come true because I don't see them from 3 years and half now. In the meanwhile, I try not to day dream too much, just in case they cannot make it, I won't be too disappointed (who am I kidding????)

I guess this wrap it up for this week :)

♥ I'm still not recovered for the gluten ingestion of last week, my stomach is still acting up. I need to be more careful and mainly starting to move my butt more.

After a break for last week (my birthday) here we are with another Random Saturday.

♥ I have a confession, but please don't laugh. I know you're gonna laugh, it's ok I can't see *you*, so I'm not gonna feel completely humiliated: I have a pimple. On my tongue. Yup! Like this one. I know I cannot be the only one with this problem, but it's so painful and so dumb :( I don't wish it to anyone else to be this uncomfortable.
Anyway, I'm also kinda of mad because I was told that after my surgery I wouldn't have to deal with this kinda of things. It's been 2 months and here I'm again :((((

♥ I had a job interview last week (totally by mistake....I went grocery shopping and ended up in one). I want the job sooooo bad! Would be a night shift, so it will be perfect for us: I will be able to stay with the kids during the day. When I'm gonna sleep???? I dunno, but I didn't get the job yet, so why worry now???? XD

♥ I was included in the sweetest cupcake treasury evah!!!!! You have to see it!


♥ I also had the honor to be the Crazy Train Rider on Artfire. People belonging to the Crazy Train Rider guild came into this thread to promote me and comment about my shop. Was very uplifting.

♥ Ok, movies that I saw lately that I really loved:I saw "7 pounds" with Willie Smith and I'm not sure I can say I love it, because talk about suicide, but it's moving for sure. And then I saw "Evan Almighty" (on the following of "Bruce Almithy") and I must say the message of the movie is really beautiful - a must see!

Is it Saturday yet???? Let's get started!

♥ The school is over for both of my kids and time is very limited, but I LOVE cuddling in bed with my children after 7 am XO

♥ Gabriel had a little ceremony for completing Kindergarten: I took some picture of him and his teacher (above) and next year (in 2 months!) he will go to first grade!! YAY!!! Michelle will have another year of PreK, but both kids will go to the same school from now on, which will make my life much easier.

♥ I donate my hair to "Locks of Love": I let hubby cut my pony tail and he went a little bit "mad cutter" and the back of my hair looks very funky! I will post pictures for you all to see soon and my hair with a check will go out this coming Monday! In the meanwhile, I'm crocheting a hat to cover the mishap until my hair will grow back again :)

♥ We're going to visit my father in law tomorrow after he's been sick: thank you so much for your prayers, he's doing much better! Also, my mother in law is waiting for this dream catcher afghan that I just finished for her.

Here we are for another randomness Saturday!

♥ Today I went to take my last 2 tests needed for my child care training. I'll have the results by Monday, but I think I did ok. I treated myself with a Starbucks coffee (3 years since I had my last one) and....some NAIL POLISH. Sounds silly, but it's been ages since I put some on! The only aching note is that I woke up with a stiff neck and back pain.....arghhhh!

♥ I want to thank you my first subscriber to my youtube channel: THANK YOU Mandie from Taking Time for Mommy: I was starting to get lonely on youtube land, but you came to my rescue!!

♥ And with the first subscriber, along came the second one and a blog feature on Andrea Wagner blog! Thank you so much Andrea for picking me up after a lousy month!

We're all in health (or almost) so I'm here tonight to post few random facts :D

♥ Here's what I got for Mother's day from my kids, on the left is Gabriel's work (a little plant, the red paper flower, the round pink flower and the paper butterfly), on the right is Michelle works (the pink paper flower, a mug, a sprinkler with her picture in it)

Since they both were sick last week end, those gift came during this week, but still they are much cherished and appreciated!

♥ My half doily earrings where featured on Artfire main page as the "Item of The Hour" early the past week

They didn't sell, but still was a great honor being up there!

♥ I found the cutest little shop on etsy: ShopSakura. She accepted to sponsor a giveaway for all of you readers, so be on the look out for the next days :)

♥ I think (actually I'm pretty sure!) that I'm going to start a series of you tube videos to promote my shop and my friends.....would you watch me? Please don't let me feel like I'm talking to myself LOL

♥ Pretty soon I'm going to cut my hair and I'm going to donate the to "Locks of love". In the package with my braid, I'd like to send a little check.....would you help me raise the money? 10% of the profit from my Artfire studio will go to this cause. Don't let those children (and me!) down!

♥ I don't have any music or movie recommendation for this week (SORRY!!) since I've been studying for the last 2 tests that I will take next Saturday for the Child Care Training.

Another Saturday, another post!

♥ Kids: Gabriel lost another tooth, you can see his new "dental" picture on my facebook. He got his report card and he's constantly improving......my heart swallowing from proud. We also had his weight checked and he gained 5 full pounds YAY! I can see he's eating more, hopefully he will keep at it and grow grow grow as he should! We celebrated Michelle's birthday yesterday and I will have a post all for her up tomorrow :)

♥ Man, was I busy!! and almost had not time to crochet at all. But ideas are forming in my head and you can be sure there will be new scrumptious items up soon.
Also, I will start donating 10% of my profit for the autism cause, it's totally worth it.
Also I hade the honor to be included in a fab collection called RAINBOW on FoundHandamde with my Rainbow granny square earrings

♥ I bought a book about soap-making...I'm dieing to try my hand at it from a while now, so watch out 'cause you never know what is coming out from my hands lol

♥ My teeth are killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to have a little surgery to remove all four of my wisdom teeth since they ache so much. The dentist will need to put me to sleep completely, so if you don't see me post for a while, that's why. But don't you worry I will prob will be back soon :)

♥ We watched "The Princess and the Frog": I must say...AMAZING and funny and romantic and inspirational......you need to watch it!!

♥ Song of the Week: I Can go the distance for the animation movie "Hercules"

Yes, I truly believe I can go the distance and find my way where I belong.

♥ Gabriel's update: He played like a catcher today at the baseball game as you can see from the picture above. He was really uncomfortable in the gear and I heard him complaining with the coach a couple of times, but he did stay to his post trying to catch the ball even tho he couldn't see out of the heavy helmet. I'm really proud of him!!

He had a rough week and he still has a cough that I don't like not even a little bit. Tuesday there is a check up to the doc to see what's up!

♥ Michelle's update: She's literally driving me nuts coloring and drawing all over the walls in our house! She's back to school and she's enjoying herself! Also,thanks to you'll votes, she won the content for the Kid Of the Month of Everyday Moms: I had to write a little paragraph about her and if you wish you can read about here

♥ Business: My Etsy shop is still in its limbo, but business is picking up everywhere else, so it's just a matter of time I guess.

♥ Yesterday I got in the mail another prize that I won from Mommy reads too much, the sister site of Taking time for Mommy
I Won the book "The Moon looked down" of Dorothy Garlock and I started reading it right away. Mommy reads too much is a cool blog and I recommend to check it out often if you wish to win lots of wonderful books!

♥ Saw the movie Julie&Julia yesterday night and I love the message: put your head into it and no matter what life will trow at you, if you believe it it will happen! Hope this is an inspiration for many out there, I sure needed some.

♥ Time to leave you with a fave song: You'll be in my heart by Phil Collins. That's what I'm listening right this second and I hope you'll enjoy too!

And another Saturday is upon us.....HAPPY EASTER to all of you!
Here the latest news, mostly about business this week.

♥ I'm taking a break for my Etsy shop: yes, you read it right. For the last 2 years I woke up in the morning scrambling over the PC with my hot coffee to list something, then crochet something, taking pictures, editing them and eat a sandwich at the PC again while I was listing another item, do all my chore and spend time with the kids in the afternoon so at night I can sit down at the PC and list while tweeting, facebooking, posting on kaboodle, votehandmade and what have you to get views.....all that to get 10 views at day in the best day. No more.
I actually got back to CREATE and to love what I create and loving it more this way.
I'm not going to leave Etsy completely: I will still take orders and list a few things, I'm just no going to sweat over a site that is not giving me nothing else.

♥ But, not all hopes are lost! I'm still very active in my Artfire Studio" new products are added daily and to celebrate Easter with all of you I'm having a FREE SHIPPING SALE and little samples are available like this

♥ I'm also very happy that My very best friend Michele at Sweet Irie decided to come back on Artfire. You can visit her studio here!

♥ The best news of the week was that I was accepted on 1000markets. For those that don't know, 1000markets is a site to sell handmade, but it's not for everyone since is juried. So, I submitted my work and few days ago I got approved! Here a sneak pick for all of you and I'm offering a free gift with purchase for all the people that will go to shop there

♥ I got very spoiled this week with a lots of amazing things coming in the mail: but this is enough for another post!

♥ And now enough business talking and I'm going to share with you a band that lately I'm LOVING so much that was really hard to pick up just ONE song to share with you: The Nickel back. I'm so gonna buy all their CDs, they're simply amazing.
For now I settle down for this song, since it's a theme really dear (and also scary!) for me, hope you enjoy it!

Coming from cleaning the bathroom floor due to an overflowing toilet, here it is!

♥ Update on Michelle: Her ears seems to be perfectly fine now but she got a cold virus. I guess we simply can't win.

♥ Update on Gabriel: He's keeping doing great. We had another baseball game and he hit the baseball by himself at his second try. Made mom and dad really happy!

For some reason makes me go back in time, when my sister was 5 (kinda like my kids age) and we used to play and fell asleep reading stories and I always asked her if she would remember me and the time together when she grew up in a teenager....well, she does remember me ;)

♥ Update on Michele's mom health: She's at home now, still in pain, but on her way to recovery!! Healing vibes her way!!

♥ Update on Michelle's health: For the series, "It get worse before it starts getting any better" (right Kayla??), she got thrush all over her mouth back to her throat. Is going to clear up in a couple of days. I found some discharge on her pillow: hopefully whatever was inside her ear came out and she will probably not need any more medications or surgery. I will know more details on Wednesday.

♥ Update on Gabriel: He's doing great! He had another baseball game today and this time I took some picture (not great since Michelle was on my lap!)

I know I'm partial, but I think he's handsome like his daddy! You can see more pictures on my Facebook.

♥ My friend Allison started a blog: Mommy's Survival. She blogs about her story about being a mom, the circumstances about the birth of her second child (she's a young mom of 3) and reading her blog I found out she made a post about my cupcake with flower! I hope you all will enjoy reading about her.

♥ I won a yummy giveaway from The Gourmet Cupboard: mix for chocolate pie! Can't wait to cook it and to show it off (before it hits my belly! lol)

Almost sleeping on the key board but here I am :)

♥ Update on Michelle's Health: My baby had still discomfort and pain to both her ears. I brought her to the doc again that told me that even if the infection cleared up, could be that she still have "stuff" between her ears and her nose. Sooooooo, we're on antibiotics again for the next 2 weeks and if that doesn't take everything away we'll have to put tubes inside her ears.

♥ Update on Gabriel: We got his first baseball game today and he had a lots of fun! I failed to bring my camera and take pictures, but he's smiling and energy today was amazing and I enjoy every second of it!

♥ I feel really tired. I actually I felt this way all week and I'm not sure way. If I seat for more than 2 minutes, my eyes close by themselves.....what's going on??? Not sure, but whatever it is, I hope it will go away soon.

♥ Movies that I'm watching. My hubby introduced me to the Terminator series and the Transformers. Not crazy about either. The Terminator stories has major flows and the new Transformers movie is, in my opinion, a movie to entertain teenagers, definitely not me.

♥ Song that I'm gonna share tonight: Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. She's the sister of Jennifer Aniston, I discovered her recently and I LOVE her voice. This song in particular is sweet and fresh. Enjoy!

I missed yesterday since I was exhausted, so here it is now :)

♥ The reason I'm exhausted: I have the most awesome week ever in my shop... kinda like Christmas time, but even better! So I'm busy busy making and enjoy every little bit of it!

♥ For the series "I can't follow directions": I missed another baseball game where Gabriel supposed to play yesterday. We ended up on a baseball field with lots of kids, trying to locate our coach and Gabriel's team.....turns out I was on the wrong field! Who new that my city has more than one????? Well, not me!

♥ Gabriel wasn't to upset tho: He was still enjoying his new baseball glove, felling cute for his new hair cut and he lost another tooth!! Money under the pillow!

♥ I'm gonna share a giveaway with you! It's about Lisa of Pieced of Me Pendants. She had one on this blog last month, now she's having one on Sweet Irie blog and you don't wanna miss it!

♥ I thought to spice things up a little, this time I'm gonna share an Italian song from a singer called Zucchero (means Sugar in Italian). His songs are really peculiar since the words used in the text are pretty much meaningless non-sense, he uses words for their sound and their metaphoric meaning, so than the listener can pretty much find his own meaning in the song. So I thought, even if nobody will understand a word, they ca still love the rhythm and the melody. Myself, I think this song talks to me about spring and love, relationship and loneliness.

I hope it is really Saturday today, I haven't been sleeping much in the past week, so I'm in one of those phases when all the days are so crunched together that seems it's been a month lol.
Here you go some random fact! Enjoy!

♥ Personal: Daughter Michelle is still sick. Er...I must say, was??? She had a really rough time between Thursday night and this morning at 5 am. She was in a lot of pain, feverish even tho she's on antibiotics for the last 2 weeks, throwing up and of course crying and no sleeping. Then she went to sleep for a couple of hours to wake up at 5 am asking for hot dogs, sausages and raisins....didn't stop eating ever since. I think I can officially say she's getting better, finally.
But since the rough night, we were all cooked about noon and we all slept through Gabriel's first baseball game....yup, we missed it! :(

♥ And since we're talking about sickness....do you know that all doctors are mean, stupid dummy heads???? There, I said it. I'm not proud, but honestly they are very full of them just because they have few years of college more than me (hello??? I have a degree in nutrition!!) and make more money, but you don't understand or care to understand people. Just sayin'!

♥ I got some nice things in the mail.
First I got a prize for a giveaway hosted my Everyday Mom: it's Moonjar like the one you can find here. It's really cool! he boys (aka My husband and Gabriel) decided to share it between them to buy more video games (Awesome plans boys!!!)
Then, I did something that I didn't do from hmmm years!! I bought myself a BOOK! And I'm not talking a parenting book, or a teacher book or the latest book on autism, I'm talking about a BOOK for my pleasure: "The Biology of Belief" of Bruce Lipton. It came in the mail today and can't wait to start reading it.

♥ Since I'm on a grumpy mood, this week I'm gonna tell you which moving I DO NOT recommend you to watch: "The Mist". It supposedly based on Stephen King's book, but they changed the ending.....It made me cry but not in a good way and if you're freaked out by bugs and spiders like me, definitely do not watch it.

Hi you'll! How everyone is doing? I'm doing ok here, except for my little Michelle that got a very bad ear infection and is in a lot of pain :(
Let's the random stuff start, shall we?

♥ I was working on some Easter bunny hats the other day and my daughter saw one that was incomplete, missing a ear of the bunny. She immediately picked it up, to bring it to my attention (I got side tracked doing something else). With a note of worry in her voice she told me: "Look mommy, the bunny is hurt!" I promptly assured her that the bunny was ok and I was going to fix it, picked up my crochet hook whipping up the missing ear and attaching it to the hat. She seems pleased with the result and wasn't worried any more. Few Night later, she woke up in the middle on the night with very acute pain in her left ear. Trying to calm her down, I sweetly whisper to her that mommy was going to fix her ear. At this point she stopped crying, crawled out of the bed and went to pick me up....well, you guessed a HOOK. I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry, trying to figure out how to tell her I couldn't fix her ear with a crochet hook.

♥ I was live with my cam on Thursday night: I was given a shop spotlight to promote my wares by the amazing site: Everyday Moms. Let me tell you.....was brutal being live, but was also fun! Hope you will join use next Thursday on Mingle Media TV at 8.30 pm Central Time. I also just accepted (kinda few minutes ago!) the offer to become admin of the site, so it's a good way if you'd like to connect with me more!
