Hats!

With Halloween coming, I went on a quest to crochet as many silly hats as possible. 

You might remember my previous creations:

But even when Halloween is over, they still make stylish head wear for winter, don't you think?

Rapunzel

No Hair? No problem!

My daughter made me crochet a hat designed by her, by her desire of having long hair like Rapunzel.

Yes, the "hair" go pass her feet and they lay on the floor. She even hired Spider man to discourage any villain from cutting it.....

What happened to my hair and Locks of Love.

Do you remember when Michele blogged about her donation at Locks Of Love? No?? Well, you can read it here!
Well, I followed her example and donate my hair too and I'm gonna share the before and after pics with ya!

Yup, they were long down my waist, but hubby cut them down, was able to donate over 13 inches (that's hubby taking a picture of me in the background)

And that's how I look now

Very short, very easy to manage and also very plane :(
So, I crocheted a nice hat for me, that I'm offering in my Artfire studio....well, of course, it's not MY hat, but I can make one just like it for ya!

I'm really proud today to be featured on Kelly's WAHM site and I'm reciprocate the post, blogging about Kelly's shop KatieBeanKids where you can find a lots of childrens items like bracelets, bibs, hats. Kelly really likes making bracelets every time she gets a chance, 'cause it's relaxing and her daughter loves helping, she wants everyone mommy makes and she also sew and knit. This time I'm giving away another hat, a funny one with bear's ears and ear flaps like this one:

It will look just adorable on a little one who wants to play to "let's pretend".
One size will fit kids between 2 and 5 years old it's suitable both for boys and girls.
The material is really soft and will keep you kids' ears warm thank to the ears flap and they'll love to wear it just like my kids do.
I used a skein of Berbat baby Boucle' in Misty Blue 98% gentle soft Acrylic and 2% polyester for the main part of the hat while the trim and the braid tails are made with a variegate white-brown cotton that can be used to tie a knot under the kids' chin.

This yarn 'cause he has a lot of pretty color like blue, green, white and pink with a little wire of shining tread that adds a glittering style.

It's completely machine washable and dryable at low settings and that's a blessing with little ones!

The hat fits 15 inch(38cm) noggin and has a pretty flower sewed on a side.

It fits a little girl 12-24 months old. The flower is 2.5"(6.5cm) in diameter.
