Random bits

A couple of things that I wanted to share with you, but weren't enough to make a blog post about it, so I thought to combine them here.

First I'd like to invite you all to an auction on Facebook: lots of items for awesome prices, included a couple of items from my shop. Plus, the bidders are entered for a giveaway from Whimsical Wishes that so graciously put the auctions together.
I own a wonderful pair of hoops earrings from Stormy and love them!!

Then I want to thank burunduchok for including me in this Strawberry Treasury on Etsy

Randomness Saturdays

After a break for last week (my birthday) here we are with another Random Saturday.

♥ I have a confession, but please don't laugh. I know you're gonna laugh, it's ok I can't see *you*, so I'm not gonna feel completely humiliated: I have a pimple. On my tongue. Yup! Like this one. I know I cannot be the only one with this problem, but it's so painful and so dumb :( I don't wish it to anyone else to be this uncomfortable.
Anyway, I'm also kinda of mad because I was told that after my surgery I wouldn't have to deal with this kinda of things. It's been 2 months and here I'm again :((((

♥ I had a job interview last week (totally by mistake....I went grocery shopping and ended up in one). I want the job sooooo bad! Would be a night shift, so it will be perfect for us: I will be able to stay with the kids during the day. When I'm gonna sleep???? I dunno, but I didn't get the job yet, so why worry now???? XD

♥ I was included in the sweetest cupcake treasury evah!!!!! You have to see it!

♥ I also had the honor to be the Crazy Train Rider on Artfire. People belonging to the Crazy Train Rider guild came into this thread to promote me and comment about my shop. Was very uplifting.

♥ Ok, movies that I saw lately that I really loved:I saw "7 pounds" with Willie Smith and I'm not sure I can say I love it, because talk about suicide, but it's moving for sure. And then I saw "Evan Almighty" (on the following of "Bruce Almithy") and I must say the message of the movie is really beautiful - a must see!

♥ And now I leave you with my fave song on the week: "Who Knew" from Pink

What I got for my birthday!!!

As you might know, the past Saturday was my birthday and I got some nice presents that I'd looooooooooove to share with you!!
Cupcake mold
Key necklace
The first thing that came in the mail was the new and sweet cupcake mold from Shop Sakura: I was drooling over it for few days and Fiona was so kind to send it to me and me and my daughter Michelle already put it a good use XO

And than just yesterday I found the most delicate and precious key necklace from Simag!!! I was so impressed by the workman ship and even the package was just too sweet for words.....
They really spoiled me!

But the surprises aren't over!!!!
My bestie Michele at Sweet Irie gifted me with the sweetest treasury

My blog buddy Kayla gave me a shout out/birthday wished on her blog, The Eclectic Element

Also, my friend Kim from Vabeachquilter purchased from me and blogged about it!!!

And I also got some clothes, a cord cam (YAY!!!) and I was able to talk via phone and via cam with my folks in Italy, which it's always really nice!!!

Not bad, uh?

I'll leave you reminding that it's last day to enter the Pieces of me Pendants giveaway

Randomness Saturdays

Is it Saturday yet???? Let's get started!

♥ The school is over for both of my kids and time is very limited, but I LOVE cuddling in bed with my children after 7 am XO

♥ Gabriel had a little ceremony for completing Kindergarten: I took some picture of him and his teacher (above) and next year (in 2 months!) he will go to first grade!! YAY!!! Michelle will have another year of PreK, but both kids will go to the same school from now on, which will make my life much easier.

♥ I donate my hair to "Locks of Love": I let hubby cut my pony tail and he went a little bit "mad cutter" and the back of my hair looks very funky! I will post pictures for you all to see soon and my hair with a check will go out this coming Monday! In the meanwhile, I'm crocheting a hat to cover the mishap until my hair will grow back again :)

♥ We're going to visit my father in law tomorrow after he's been sick: thank you so much for your prayers, he's doing much better! Also, my mother in law is waiting for this dream catcher afghan that I just finished for her.

♥ A couple of treasury that I'd like to share with you!
Blueberries and Vanilla by Late night Design

And Lori Made this from the Handmade Highway members that are donating parts of their profits to the victims of the oil spills: Because the oceans should be blue.

More artist featured on Handmade Highway blog too.

What are you up to???

Randomness Saturdays

Here we are for another randomness Saturday!

♥ Today I went to take my last 2 tests needed for my child care training. I'll have the results by Monday, but I think I did ok. I treated myself with a Starbucks coffee (3 years since I had my last one) and....some NAIL POLISH. Sounds silly, but it's been ages since I put some on! The only aching note is that I woke up with a stiff neck and back pain.....arghhhh!

♥ I want to thank you my first subscriber to my youtube channel: THANK YOU Mandie from Taking Time for Mommy: I was starting to get lonely on youtube land, but you came to my rescue!!

♥ And with the first subscriber, along came the second one and a blog feature on Andrea Wagner blog! Thank you so much Andrea for picking me up after a lousy month!

♥ I was handpicked in an awesome treasury: Cafe Light by Deborah from Moonlightphotography

Isn't that beautiful?? Thanks Deborah!

♥ Don't forget to enter the giveaway for a sweet cupcake mold from Shop Sakura! I got mine and I LOVE IT!

♥ We had a death in hubby's family: one of his cousins died after 19 years of pain. Your prayers are needed for this Mother and the half brother (Hubby's aunt and his other cousin), thanks!

♥ All in all I feel grateful for this past week and that's why I choose the song: Thank you from Dido (I love her!). Enjoy!

Happy Mother's day!

Very sorry to miss our appointment with Random Saturdays yesterday: my daughter Michelle had ear ache again and I'm at lost of what to do this time, since the antibiotic didn't work last time. Tonight she seems to be a little bit better, so hopefully she will no need any meds.

But I wanted to be here tonight to say Happy Mother's day to all my reader, to all the moms, grandmas, pet mommies and soon-to-be mom out there.
How did you celebrate? Did you get anything? Something you wanted?

We stayed put since my daughter was sick and I'm not really a person to ask for gifts.
But hubby gave me a sweet surprise, which is odd since he usually forgets this kind of things.
I'm not sure I already wrote about this, but me and hubby are dating again. No, nothing is wrong in our marriage and we never separated, but when you have children constantly around, sometimes the "adult" relationship suffer a little.
So, now that the kids are both in school (for another month anyway) we cut one day a week where we go to lunch-dates in places where usually we don't go with the kids, you know some nice restaurants where they don't serve only chicken nuggets and french fries and we don't have to color the menu until the food is on the table LOL
And I think those dates are bringing us closer and that's why he remembered that today was Mother's day and he brought me a fantastic red rose!
And was it sweeter is that he gave it to Gabriel so the little man "gift it" to me!!!! Too sweet!
And now I leave you all with a sweet treasury where I had the honor to be featured:

CPSIA Giveaway!

Today I wanna announce the the last giveaway's winner, Sarah, loved my baby girl's hat with flower applique so much that she was so kind to accept to host my giveaway on her blog.
Like me, Sarah is fighting against the new CPSIA law and this giveaway intent to support this cause. From Sarah's blog:"I am truly amazed by the lack of awareness surrounding the Consumer Product Safety Implementation Act (CPSIA)
Here some useful links:
Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
CPSIA Facebook Group
http://www.coolmompicks.com/savehandmade/

This time I'm giving away another hat, a funny one with bear's ears and ear flaps like this one:

It will look just adorable on a little one who wants to play to "let's pretend".
One size will fit kids between 2 and 5 years old it's suitable both for boys and girls.
The material is really soft and will keep you kids' ears warm thank to the ears flap and they'll love to wear it just like my kids do.
I used a skein of Berbat baby Boucle' in Misty Blue 98% gentle soft Acrylic and 2% polyester for the main part of the hat while the trim and the braid tails are made with a variegate white-brown cotton that can be used to tie a knot under the kids' chin.
To enter this giveaway you must go to Sarah's blog and read all the detail.

Also, feel free to check out the last treasury I made featuring sellers that like me will be affected by this law.

And don't forget to check Sarah's etsy shop: she makes adorable things!!!!
