Grateful

Well, Thanksgiving is come and gone, can you believe that?

Even if you don't, the turkey was eaten, the pie is gone, some of us is still in a turkey coma, others are drunk.

I, personally, am grateful For a table full of yummy food:

For a juicy turkey

For my very first apple pie: it started as a pumpkin pie, but when we opened the pumpkin, we found only seeds, no pulp. So I had to improvise and I loved it!

And for my children. When I asked them what they were thankful for, they both listed me as the first person.
My little girl included herself in the people she's grateful for (this is huge, we worked for months of her self-esteem) and my son listed the teachers and therapist from the Autism Center.

I'm thankful that I'm doing a few things right.

What about you?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

I'm on the end of the turkey coma after a feisty lunch that included a turkey (of course), mashed potatoes, white rice, corn and buttermilk biscuits as you can see.

What did you have/are you having? I'd love to know.

My lunch was completed by gravy

and followed by left overs of chocolate cake, persimmon cookies with pecans and a fresh batch of persimmon bread

The kids were really excited about Turkey day and they helped me clean up after lunch and we started decorating the house for Christmas.

But that, I will leave it for another post :)

What's for dinner tonight?

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
This year we decided to change things up a little and have a Thanksgiving dinner instead of a lunch.

So, I spent the morning in the kitchen with my baby Michelle that helped me out to cook all sort of things.

While the turkey was baking we made chocolate chips cookies, stuffing, rolls and a beans salad.

At last, the turkey was ready:

Believe it or not, Gabriel ate obscene amounts of turkey, at least 3 serving ans his plate was full all the time! Warmed my heart and made me so happy since he's so picky and barely eats any meat.
I also made a pie, but Michelle devoured it before I could snap a picture.
For this, I'm very thankful!

What did you had?

Thanksgiving time at my home!

And we are decorating, cooking and eating.
Above you can see the artworks of my kids: Gabriel's stuff in on the left and Michelle's is on the right.

Michelle enjoyed so much doing turkeys that her teacher let her made a T-shift and a center piece.

Gabriel said it will help me to eat the turkey eheheh.

Hope you enjoy my kids artworks. I think it's amazing that they are so small and so talented, but I'm buyest since I'm their mom.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
