Grateful

Well, Thanksgiving is come and gone, can you believe that?

Even if you don't, the turkey was eaten, the pie is gone, some of us is still in a turkey coma, others are drunk.

I, personally, am grateful For a table full of yummy food:

For a juicy turkey

For my very first apple pie: it started as a pumpkin pie, but when we opened the pumpkin, we found only seeds, no pulp. So I had to improvise and I loved it!

And for my children. When I asked them what they were thankful for, they both listed me as the first person.
My little girl included herself in the people she's grateful for (this is huge, we worked for months of her self-esteem) and my son listed the teachers and therapist from the Autism Center.

I'm thankful that I'm doing a few things right.

What about you?

It sounds (and looks) like you all had quite the lovely Thanksgiving holiday!

As for the pumpkin pie, you actually scoop OUT the innards the best you can, cut the pumpkin in half and bake it. That softens the pumpkin enough to use the whole thing (except the skin) to use as the filling :)

Maybe you can try it again eventually!

Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The food looks delicious. That was nice of your children to include you as things they're thankful for.
