Our Family is growing!

If you were expecting a post with the announcement that I'm pregnant, sorry to disappoint folks! 

This is not it! 

I'm happy with my 2 children and that business is now closed. 

That said, our family is still growing since we adopted a little kitten! Let me introduce you all to Shadow (and all the food crumbs under my kitchen table lol)

We owned cats before but if was my life before kids and it was a little easier. 

But the kids have asked for a pet before and now there is really no reason not to have one! 

Shadow fits right in with his "independent moods" and playful energy. 

Here he is, showing off his brand new collar that made him "officially" part of the family!

Do you remember my pet fish BOB?

Well, this morning I went to his tank to feed him and well...he was gone :(

We knew it will happen eventually, but he was with us since July and we were taking pretty good care of him and it was just.so.unexpected!

The kids were told, we showed them the "body". Gabriel wanted to know why and how. Michelle just started sobbing hard saying that it was her fault for not playing with Bob yesterday. She seems ok now and she agreed to have him buried tomorrow.

The funeral will be held tomorrow evening on our porch. We are going to gently put Bob in a tiny box and buried him in a pot with potty soil. We will plant wild flowers on it so when spring comes and the pretty flowers will bloom, we can look at them and remember our little friend.

We went to visit my parents-in-laws this afternoon at their farm and the kids and me got the chance to ride a horse!!
I never done it in my entire life, but I was always curious to try and we were lucky that my in laws have this beautiful, sweet horse form when my husband was just a child.

Her name is Honey and she loves people, especially kids, and apples and quietly and happily took all three of us for a ride.

We also had the chance to pet a little kitten, she was so sweet and the kids where wonderful with her, specially Gabriel: he kept saying that the little cat was his sweet baby!!

We had a great time and I'm glad I finally got to ride a horse! Now if only I can bring my sister here, riding a horse it's her dream since she was 5 years old! Maybe one day.....
