July Must-Haves: Retro Glasses from Firmoo

A pair of vintage eyeglasses is somewhat the bravest choice that you could try on this summer. There is a popular believe that retro look is the most classical one when you make good use of it. Vintage eyeglasses are mixed with the standard and subdued colors. So they could easily get highlighted during a nighttime or in a crowd. Excitingly, you can find your First pair for free for vintage eyeglasses at Firmoo.com.

A perfect combination of modern fashion trends and retro look create a different formation that speaks much about the fashion and latest fashion trends.

(The above model photos are all derived from Firmoo+.)

Merry Christmas to me Part 7

I have started to get some Christmas goodies in the mail from my dear friends, so I thought to start sharing them with you and make you drool!

You do know how much I love my friends at the Trading post, not only for the goodies that I can trade for, but for all the love they send to me every day.

Each Christmas we do a Secret Santa gift exchange, meaning we create a list of people who want to participate and our organizer will match us randomly.

I got to be the Secret Santa for Cindy at Seabreezejewels and I was delighted to send her my new product to test: reusable swiffer pads

My Secret Santa instead, was Nel from yesterdaytrunk that sent me some lovely vintage crochet magazine and instructional books and delicate napkins

Vintage Feature: ScenicRoots

Vintage Pink Rose Resin and Enamel Brooch - by Pell - $38 by ScenicRoots

I know, I rarely feature vintage but when I found out that the treasury list that brought me to the Etsy Front Page was made by ScenicRoots, I couldn't help but feature her gracious shop....The more I click and the more seems to me to be entered in my grandmother kitchen all over again, in the old grandpa's house, smelling her yummy food and eating ice cream on the table with my brother and cousins. That house, and its content, got destroyed by an earthquake later on and all I have is few china plates and all my memories that ScenicRoots happily brought back to me after all this years.

I love everything from this shop that is all about selling & nesting • vintage • salvage • antiques : kitchenette, homespun, glad rags, jewelry pretties, carryalls, childhood memories, pastimes, fathers day items (Just in time for Father's day!).

Vintage - His - Mug Old Daimler Car - $6 by ScenicRoots
(JUST SIX DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!)

Let's get to know Tammy a little bit better and what she has to say about her business:

I grew up in a family of artists, crafters, and collectors. So ever since I can remember I was either creating something or tagging along on an antiquing day with the family. Either hearing about the history of an item or now having access to research it on my own has always fascinated me. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and especially love giving new life to a cool find.

I am a mom to three beautiful children that also share these same passions and appreciations. Have been a stay at home mom for the past two years and although it has been a bit of a struggle, it has opened my world up to so many beautiful things.

I collect things that make me smile or touch me in some weird way, so you will always see an eclectic mix. I enjoy even more, creating pieces by blending new and vintage with a touch of modern sensibility.

Vintage Folkart Rooster Napkin Holder - Lego Japan - $18 by ScenicRoots

Tammy can also be found on twitter, flickr and a very interesting blog, Purple Deer Vintage.

Hope you enjoyed ScenicRoots as much as I did :)

Lyme Disease Awarness 'Healing' Bracelet

I am unable to go to school because of the LD (I would be a freshman in college) or hold a job for that matter, but more ME time right? Please don’t feel sorry for me because that’s not what I’m about. Yes, I’m sick and sometimes I feel sorry for myself, but mostly I embrace this journey because it has given me many wonderful things.

Au Natural necklace

One of which is my passion for jewelry and creating it. I started a little after I got sick and it has been a staple In my life ever since. It has definitely helped be through good, bad and ugly.

Gorgeous Vintage Sarah Coventry Feather Leaf Brooch Pin

I also love to do other crafts. You name it, I have either tried it, are currently doing it, or plan on attempting to within my time. Love love love to read anything and everything I can get my hands on(especially self help books; Now THAT'S telling you something-Lol-). Outdoors is my inspiration. I hate it when I can't be outside; Its like a part of my soul is missing.

Featuring: BStauffdesigns

Today I'm sharing with my reader another of my favorite!! I come across this shop a while ago and was amazed how talented and ecletict this etsy seller is! You can find Modern Creations with a Vintage Flair like bags, scarves, pillows and table linens for every taste!!
But let's hear diretly from this amazing shopowner:

I have been sewing for 15 years and just recently became interested in vintage textiles and how they might be turned into fashion forward bags and accessories.
I have a collection of vintage fabrics as well as patterns from the 40's and 50's. I love the fashion of the 50's with the small waist and full skirts, and the smart suits.
I am a stay at home mom of three girls and after my youngest went to Kindergarten last year, I converted my office into my studio and started sewing handbags, and pillows and aprons. After friends and family kept telling me I should sell my stuff, I had a grand opening party at my sisters and made a lot of money so I decided that maybe they were right!

Erin's Black Evening Clutch: An elegant way to add to your evening out whether it's a nice dinner, office party, or a wedding. This bag is made to reflect the style of the 1920's with it's asymmetrical flap closure adorned with a rounded bow.

Approximately 7" deep by 11 1/2 inches wide. Outer material is a black crepe, lining is a copper embroidered silk. Snap closure. This is interfaced with a very stiff Pellon interfacing to give it structure and shape.

iPod/Cell Phone Case: Protect you ipod, cell phone or blackberry from scratches in style! This is made with a pseudo leather material with an Amy Butler fabric Pocket. Outside pocket will hold your ear phones, or coffee money.

Measures 3.5"Wx4.5"H

Comes in other fabrics and can be made to order in the color of your choice in less than a day.
Hurry!! Can be yours with just $5!!

Pumpkin Spice Fleece Hobo Bag: A roomy bag to carry it all! Measures 11"Hx14"Wx6"D. Outer Fabric is a soft embroidered polar fleece in a bright pumpkin color. The lining fabric is a fun vintage retro cotton floral.
The strap is 20" long and can be worn on the shoulder or across the chest. Center flower is the button to close the purse.

All items are 100% handmade and no two items are alike. All handbags have reinforced stitching at all seams and stress points. I welcome custom orders. All items are from a smoke free home and pet free studio! Due to Home Decorator fabrics used, spot clean only, or Dry Clean all handbags, table runners. Gentle wash all aprons, scarves, and jewelry bags.

Also don't forget to visit her blog!! She's one of the winners of my blog awards!!
