I've been featured!

Few days ago, I received an email in my inbox from Jill's stuff telling me that I was featured on her blog

She posted about her favorite Christmas ornaments and included my strawberry ornament in the list.

I would appreciate if you go and take a pick to the list and show some love!

I don't know if the feature has anything to do with it, but it just so happened that after being notified of it I sold one of those strawberry ornaments to a sweet lady that wanted to give a little Christmas present to her grand daughter but couldn't afford much, but was so happy that she found a little strawberry for $5. I was so touched that she decided to spend those hard earned money with me, I know lots of folks are really struggling with money year around, let alone around the holidays.

So Santa Clause delivered 2 strawberries instead of one....ooooops! post signature

Look what I've got!!

Lots to say, you see.
I want to thank a few people.

First is Tina of Tina's Treasures for writing a sweet blog post featuring some of my items. You can read all about it here.

Then, I want to thank Shannon of Faded Leaves for posting my interview on her blog.
Watch out the next posts for a feature about her beautiful jewelry :)

Also, if you're not familiar with CraftJuice you should be. It's a cool site when artisans can submit their art and people can vote. If you get more than 5 votes, they will tweet your listing.
I have 3 product up there right now:
Strawberry pincushion
Pumpkin pincushion
Cupcake Boob
Your votes will be highly appreciated, just register for an account and click on the UP arrow :)

One more thing: Twitter hash tags are your friend. No seriously!
I had the luck to "meet" Cori and what seemed just an exchange of silly tweets, became a trend on twitter. Search for #OMGChristmas to see for yourself and read on Cori's blog how all starter, what it is and how your can join us too:)

Featuring TheEclecticElement

As promised in my previous post, I'm introducing to you to an amazing young artist that I was blessed to met few weeks ago, Kayla the owner of TheEclecticElement where you can find plenty necklaces, bracelets, earrings, Jewelry sets and vintage pieces.

I'll leave you with her enthusiastic words describing herself and with some piece of eye candy that are her creations!

Hi, my name is Kayla, I am 19 years young (November baby), I fancy myself a spiritual person, but not religious, I can't stand politics, and I have been sick with Lyme Disease for 5 ½ years now.

Lyme Disease Awarness 'Healing' Bracelet

I am unable to go to school because of the LD (I would be a freshman in college) or hold a job for that matter, but more ME time right? Please don’t feel sorry for me because that’s not what I’m about. Yes, I’m sick and sometimes I feel sorry for myself, but mostly I embrace this journey because it has given me many wonderful things.

Au Natural necklace

One of which is my passion for jewelry and creating it. I started a little after I got sick and it has been a staple In my life ever since. It has definitely helped be through good, bad and ugly.

Gorgeous Vintage Sarah Coventry Feather Leaf Brooch Pin

I also love to do other crafts. You name it, I have either tried it, are currently doing it, or plan on attempting to within my time. Love love love to read anything and everything I can get my hands on(especially self help books; Now THAT'S telling you something-Lol-). Outdoors is my inspiration. I hate it when I can't be outside; Its like a part of my soul is missing.

Black, White, and Red All Over Upcycled Necklace and Earring Set

Kayla started this shop few months ago and is doing really great. That's more than a full time job for her, so let's show her some support! She loves customs work and right now she's offering a pretty good deal: BUY TWO OR MORE ITEMS, GET 10% OFF THE FINAL TOTAL!!

To know more about this amazing artist, don't forget to stop by to her blog to say hello or follow her updates on twitter!!

Now, for all my friends whom support helped me throught my son's illiness, I'm happy to say that Gabriel is doing fine and will be back in school tomorrow.

First Artfire Artist Feature: Gems by Jerri

Your name? Jerri

Location? Comfort, TX

Where can you be found on the net?
http://www.gemsbyjerri.etsy.com/
http://www.gemsbyjerri.artfire.com/
http://www.gemsbyjerri.blogspot.com/
http://www.twitter.com/gemsbyjerri
http://www.facebook.com/people/Jerri-Chatham/1206458224

How long have you been crafting?
I have been crafting off and on for most of my life. I only started creating for sale in the last year. I previously gave my jewelry as gifts or sold to friends and family.

How long have you been selling?
I have had an Etsy shop since July of 2008. I recently opened a studio on ArtFire as well.

What is your favorite item in your shop?
My current favorite are the newly listed Chysolite and Jet pieces, particularly the earrings.

What's the most exciting thing about your craft?
I love when I receive new materials. I get so excited about what I can create. It's almost like Christmas when I get an order in the mail. The next best thing is logging in to my shops and finding an order, because that is when you know you aren't the only one who loves an item.

What do you like least about your craft?
I can't begin to explain how much I dislike photographing and editing photos to post. It has to be the most difficult part of any listing for me.

Is crafting a full or part-time job for you? If part-time what's your day job?
I craft in my spare time. I work full time for a jewelry manufacturing company here in south Texas. I prepare waxes for casting, usually in silver. I actually get to do a job I truly enjoy, so I couldn't be happier.

What would you like to learn next?
I am currently learning to work with polymer clay and really think it could become my new addiction.
Did you enjoy learning about Gems by Jerri?? I sure hope so! I know so, I can see you, my readers, digging in the etsy and artfire shops admiring this beauties...eheheh
Jerri was also very king to feature my ArtFire studio on her blog, so go read what she wrote about me!

I won a giveaway: Featuring Angel Heart Beads

I must admit I;m a realy jerk and all the time I enter a giveaway I'm very sceptical about winning! But this time actually happened!! I couldn't believe it when Tracy, owner of the etsy shop Angel Heart Beads, emailed to comunicate this to me and still I couldn't believe my eyes when I found a silver elegant package in my mail box.
Are you curious about the content?? Here you go, look for your self:

Mine are actually blue, while this pair in the picture is a delicate shade of lilac.....still stunning and breath taking, don't you think?
And that's not it!!! I found my self browing for hours in Tracy's shop and I found some very unique pieces.

Safari Sunset puzzle piece necklace and bracelet set

All the colors of the Safari at sunset, this beautiful set is sure to get you noticed. Each vibrant piece is individually sealed with diamond glaze. The backs of the pieces are painted with acrylic black paint, and sealed for protection. Genuine swarovski crystal flat backs adorn these already stunning puzzle pieces for an added flare.

Love ring

Pretty deep pink facet cut Czech glass beads cluster together and shine on this pretty silver tone adjustable ring. So feminine and dainty - perfect for the girly girl!

Gothic Love Glass and Hematite Watch

This stunning piece if our version of Gothic Love. Pretty red watch face with little hearts, is adorned by large blood red faceted Czech glass and hematite beads. Beads are woven on a firm flex stretch line and can fit from a size 7 1/2" to 9" wrist.

Here it is a little bit fo story behind this beautiful shop:
Tracy and Robert Armstrong have been creating jewelry for four years together. Robert has a back ground in graphic design, while Tracy has an extensive back ground in theatre arts, and music composition. Their jewelry designs featuring a vast spread of beads, gems, glass, and clay are inspired by the lush Pocono mountains surrounding their home in North Eastern Pennsylvania. While not creating jewelry, the duo divides their time attending craft shows, painting ceramics, and adding to their ever growing movie collection.

Enjoy!! And don't forget to pass my Tracy' shop to say hi!!
