Featuring Risky Beads

Ok reader, as I pre announced in a previous post, I'm here to tell you about some nice trades that I worked out for Christmas gift. Here to you the first one: Risky beads.
I met Lori a while ago when I was looking for some inexpensive way to promote my shop and joined the Handmade Highway and thought I'm not really into jewelry I fell in love with her creations, specially her necklaces and pendants.

I LOVE the fact the every necklace has a name, the one above is "Eye of the Storm". Isn't it gorgeous with all those colors and the luxurious organza ribbons and leather cord??
Also, all the jewelry are extra unique because they come with a little poem, a specific story that is unique for every piece.

This one for instance is called "Mermaid autopsy" and the story behind recite: "Say what you want, but clearly she loved the sea more than the handsome prince. Just look at all that emotion for the ocean".
I don't know about you, but I found this little story very evocative, give me the impression to buy far more that a pendant!
Beside necklaces and pendants, Lori also sells gorgeous earrings (very reasonable priced), original nurse Purses, bracelets, bookmarks and key chains and her Etsy guide like this one:

I find it very useful and give me a little push for big decision that I took recently!(more on this topic soon!)
She's also destashing her supplies at Risky Stash and has a very interesting blog where My cupcakes were feature few days ago.
Well, I hope you enjoyed knowing Lori as much as I did!
And sty tuned for my next trade/feature :)

A nice surprise in the mail :)

Recently I came across a very nice gal, while working on Etsygiveaways, Cat the sweet owner of Polarity and Uncorked on Etsy. She thought to send me "a little something" (her words not mine!) to thank me for my time on posting giveaways.
Although I was expecting something in my mail, I'll never thought to be so pleased.
Here, look for yourself and see what she sent me:

I'm amazed of the quality of this locket and the care in details that Cat puts in her creations like the gracious round tin to store your locket and the extra lids.
Cat really makes items for every taste and style, my favorite are the definitions lockets,I love the idea and the concept behind them !

And she also makes coordinate earrings, bracelets, rings, key rings.

Polarity lockets are recycled from a little auto part that with the help of some amazing little magnetic lids turns one necklace into many!

Cat is also behind a very cool blog, Olive bites where she's having a fabulous giveaway Definitely worth it to check it out!
So what do you think?? Did you enjoy see her creations??? Go check her out, her lockets make a very thoughtful gift some that special someone hard to buy for and Christmas is just around the corner!!

My name is Sara. I love the dark shades of purple and green but the girly part of me screams hot pink! I try to use every color in my jewelry so you can have a wider variety to choose from. I've been making and selling jewelry for a little over three years now. I've been making jewelry for myself since I was old enough to string a bead. I have many projects I am working on. I make necklaces, bracelets, fairy dust bottles, earrings and a few light switch plates that I hand painted. I add items every week so check back soon! I recently got laid off from work so I had to make my shop my full-time job while I job hunt. I am so happy to finally be living the dream of selling what I create, every piece is handmade by me.

I won a giveaway: Featuring Angel Heart Beads

I must admit I;m a realy jerk and all the time I enter a giveaway I'm very sceptical about winning! But this time actually happened!! I couldn't believe it when Tracy, owner of the etsy shop Angel Heart Beads, emailed to comunicate this to me and still I couldn't believe my eyes when I found a silver elegant package in my mail box.
Are you curious about the content?? Here you go, look for your self:

Mine are actually blue, while this pair in the picture is a delicate shade of lilac.....still stunning and breath taking, don't you think?
And that's not it!!! I found my self browing for hours in Tracy's shop and I found some very unique pieces.

Safari Sunset puzzle piece necklace and bracelet set

All the colors of the Safari at sunset, this beautiful set is sure to get you noticed. Each vibrant piece is individually sealed with diamond glaze. The backs of the pieces are painted with acrylic black paint, and sealed for protection. Genuine swarovski crystal flat backs adorn these already stunning puzzle pieces for an added flare.

Love ring

Pretty deep pink facet cut Czech glass beads cluster together and shine on this pretty silver tone adjustable ring. So feminine and dainty - perfect for the girly girl!

Gothic Love Glass and Hematite Watch

This stunning piece if our version of Gothic Love. Pretty red watch face with little hearts, is adorned by large blood red faceted Czech glass and hematite beads. Beads are woven on a firm flex stretch line and can fit from a size 7 1/2" to 9" wrist.

Here it is a little bit fo story behind this beautiful shop:
Tracy and Robert Armstrong have been creating jewelry for four years together. Robert has a back ground in graphic design, while Tracy has an extensive back ground in theatre arts, and music composition. Their jewelry designs featuring a vast spread of beads, gems, glass, and clay are inspired by the lush Pocono mountains surrounding their home in North Eastern Pennsylvania. While not creating jewelry, the duo divides their time attending craft shows, painting ceramics, and adding to their ever growing movie collection.

Enjoy!! And don't forget to pass my Tracy' shop to say hi!!
