I hope it is really Saturday today, I haven't been sleeping much in the past week, so I'm in one of those phases when all the days are so crunched together that seems it's been a month lol. Here you go some random fact! Enjoy!
♥ Personal: Daughter Michelle is still sick. Er...I must say, was??? She had a really rough time between Thursday night and this morning at 5 am. She was in a lot of pain, feverish even tho she's on antibiotics for the last 2 weeks, throwing up and of course crying and no sleeping. Then she went to sleep for a couple of hours to wake up at 5 am asking for hot dogs, sausages and raisins....didn't stop eating ever since. I think I can officially say she's getting better, finally. But since the rough night, we were all cooked about noon and we all slept through Gabriel's first baseball game....yup, we missed it! :(
♥ And since we're talking about sickness....do you know that all doctors are mean, stupid dummy heads???? There, I said it. I'm not proud, but honestly they are very full of them just because they have few years of college more than me (hello??? I have a degree in nutrition!!) and make more money, but you don't understand or care to understand people. Just sayin'!
♥ I got some nice things in the mail. First I got a prize for a giveaway hosted my Everyday Mom: it's Moonjar like the one you can find here. It's really cool! he boys (aka My husband and Gabriel) decided to share it between them to buy more video games (Awesome plans boys!!!) Then, I did something that I didn't do from hmmm years!! I bought myself a BOOK! And I'm not talking a parenting book, or a teacher book or the latest book on autism, I'm talking about a BOOK for my pleasure: "The Biology of Belief" of Bruce Lipton. It came in the mail today and can't wait to start reading it.
♥ Since I'm on a grumpy mood, this week I'm gonna tell you which moving I DO NOT recommend you to watch: "The Mist". It supposedly based on Stephen King's book, but they changed the ending.....It made me cry but not in a good way and if you're freaked out by bugs and spiders like me, definitely do not watch it.
♥ And now I leave you with this song, that pretty much sums up how I felt all this week! (lyric in the video)
cotton candy is to be enjoyed all into this bar of cupcake soap.. yum! super moisturizing and makes your skin nice n smooth, leaves a nice sweet fragrance on your skin. this soap takes you back to the days at the fair.
who doesnt love cotton candy? made with glycerin and shea butters..
kids n moms will love them to bathe with! I welcome bulk wholesale. great for parties! 3 oz bar. can be made with candy sprinkles or not. let me know:)
I must admit, I'm fighting with all my self the urge of buying all her shop. Her cupcakes (and her prices) are too yummy to pass up. I guess I found my birthday present....
Hi you'll! How everyone is doing? I'm doing ok here, except for my little Michelle that got a very bad ear infection and is in a lot of pain :( Let's the random stuff start, shall we?
♥ I was working on some Easter bunny hats the other day and my daughter saw one that was incomplete, missing a ear of the bunny. She immediately picked it up, to bring it to my attention (I got side tracked doing something else). With a note of worry in her voice she told me: "Look mommy, the bunny is hurt!" I promptly assured her that the bunny was ok and I was going to fix it, picked up my crochet hook whipping up the missing ear and attaching it to the hat. She seems pleased with the result and wasn't worried any more. Few Night later, she woke up in the middle on the night with very acute pain in her left ear. Trying to calm her down, I sweetly whisper to her that mommy was going to fix her ear. At this point she stopped crying, crawled out of the bed and went to pick me up....well, you guessed a HOOK. I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry, trying to figure out how to tell her I couldn't fix her ear with a crochet hook.

♥ Friday morning I woke up to a nice email update for a blog that I like a lot: The Eclectic Element. Kayla, the owner, comments often over here and she was very sweet in featuring me in her "Supporting my tribe" series. Your can read all about it here
♥ Then the morning proceeded with a message form Venus that informed my my round washcloths were featured on he blog, Happy Find, with other cool ruffled items.
♥ In the afternoon, I received another message from Monarchdancer telling me my cupcake key chain is included in her treasury
So I think I can say in all fairness that at the end on the weekend I felt LOVED which is just appropriate since is Valentine's Day Today. And to wish you all an Happy Valentine's Day, I'm gonna share this video with all of you!
She was having a giveaway for her cupcake candles a little bit before Christmas and guess what???? I was the winner!! In addition to my 2 cupcake candles, she included a cupcake bath scrub (the top is a sugar scrub the bottom is a salt soak), perfume, a really cute silver tone watch from Avon (and a mini bubble bath.....Gosh, she sure spoiled me, didn't she??? I guess was my lucky day!! I can't wait to have a nice bath my my cupcake bath soak and lite my cupcakes candles...they don't only look cute, but also smell fantastic!! Thanks Mandie, you made a SAHM feeling like a princess!
Snack Bag Set ReUsable Eco Friendly Kitty in Paris, $5 by Fig Tree Boutique
I had the pleasure of working out a very nice trade with Elaine, the owner of the Fig Tree Boutique. I was in need for some nice sandwich and snack bags since my kids use them in their lunch boxes at school and I was sick to buy and toss away the plastic ones. So, one day while I was thinking to start sewing my own, I came across the Fig Tree Boutique on twitter and Elaine graciously agreed to trade with me....YAY Double score! So my daughter Michelle got the pink ones above while Gabriel got some with a superhero fabric that he fell in love with!
So we put them to good use and that's what I have to say about them: LOVE THEM!!! If someone is in the market for sandwich and snack bags, I will definitely recommend them!
Elaine craftsmanship is really nice, the stitches very accurate. In the sets that I got for my kids the bags have different sizes: 6 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" deep for the large bag enough for a little sandwich and 6 1/4" wide X 4" deep on the small bag with plenty room for sliced fruit, crackers, cookies or cereals with a turn flap for closure that insure nothing will spill out. And the best part of all: the inside is lined with no rip nylon with sealed seams, so the crumbs don't get stuck but come off easily with a shake and I can just wipe them off to clean or wash them in the washer if they're really dirty.
I think this is every mom dream! Funny prints for little ones, easy to clean and eco-friendly for Mother Earth.....so I need to say more????

Sorry if I didn't post this yesterday, but there was an awful glitch in my etsy shop that really got me in a panic attack. Now, back to normal with some random things from this week.
♥ Personal: Both of my kids are sick with a strong cold: nothing to worry about, but they will stay off school for a couple of days.
♥ Michelle enjoyed her first week in school a LOT and her potty training is going awesome!!
♥ Heard from a store that is interested in carrying my products: the order is a little bit smaller of what I was hoping for, but it's a start!
♥ This song was stuck in my head all week: thought some of you might like it! the lyric is in the video.
♥ The movie that I recommend this week is "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler. It really amazed me how much creativity and fantasy kids may have, how life can get an unexpected turn and how much waiting for your dreams to come true really pays off :)
♥ My newsletter is coming up: have you signed up yet?
That's what Melanie has to tell us about her shop:
"Hi Friends~ I call you friends since you are like a neighbor coming onto my back porch for a cup of coffee. Stepping into my store is a lot like a friend stepping into my home. My store displays a lot of my favorite things--hydrangeas, angels, little monsters. You may say "little monsters?" Yes, I am a mom to 3 little munchkins and several of our pieces are inspired by them--monsters, aliens, rocket ships.
I started this store out of love for them and a desire to help support our family since my husband lost his job. My items are inspired by the imaginations of my children and my faith...and each piece has a touch of whimsy. :)
Whimsical Wares is a joint effort between me and my husband of 13 years. Our designs are inspired by our faith and living life with 3 small children and 1 dog. Our items are made by hand and have a whimsical flair."
